Are you the type of person who finds it impossible to make time for exercise? Do you pray that when you do go to the gym there’ll be no one else there? Do you want big results but from spending the shortest amount of time possible in the gym? Are you prepared to pay a premium for one-to-one training?
If the answer to these is ‘yes’ then undoubtedly Concept 10 10 is for you.
In the past month, I’ve completed five sessions and made some huge gains in both the weight that I lifted and the number of reps I’ve been able to complete. But (I bet you knew that was coming), I love exercising, it’s easier to make the time for something you enjoy. I’m not bothered who else is there, I’m focused on my own performance and too busy concentrating on giving my best rather than wondering what is going on around me. As for efficiency, there’s heaps written about the, ‘do Exercise X for the quickest gains... FAST!' Frankly, I don’t care. If I buy a kettle, all I’m bothered about is if it works, I’ve got no interest in whether one kettle boils a second faster than another. For me the same goes for workouts, too many words are devoted to ‘brand new, you must do this Exercise X to get bigger arms, six pack etc’. Load of bollocks. Yes they might work, but then so do other things. There’s been plenty of people in great shape before this Exercise X came along. OK, the older methods might not be as efficient, but there’s a trade off. I enjoy my time in the gym, I enjoy training hard. Why would I want to spend less time doing that? I want to recover and go again. Rant over.
Back to Concept 10 10. I’ve really enjoyed it, and if money was no object I’d include a once a week session in my training. The one-to-one aspect, and the focus required to move the weight so slowly is excellent. But at the price quoted (AED 1,950 for 10 sessions, each only 20 mins) I doubt I’ll be going back.
